Negligence January 20, 2006

We all must have come across this word. Yes, I would say we even experienced it at at least one time in our life. But how big mistake is it? Or first of all, Do we even consider it as a mistake?
Have we ever asked this question to our self? Well, I would say its our responsibility to ask oneself if he is neglecting anything. We do a job everyday and 1 mistake at 1 time is certainly not a big mistake. Say for example, I’m a cleaner in Railways and I check the wheels and pistons for the trains everyday and report the analysis. for whatever reason, If I’m not able to check a single rim of a wheel, its no big mistake. But on a long run after a few months if the rim has completely worn-out and breaks while on tracks, it could derail the entire train. Then do we consider it as a big mistake? Well, yes or no, this has happened in Germany a few years ago, causing 101 people to die and more injured and handicapped.

Looking into the effect, of the outcome because of the negligence, can we consider this as something even bigger than a planned murder? Well, I would say it is.
Its not perfection that’s required, its impossible, but we can surely be a little more careful. It does not take more than a few seconds of what we are already doing. It brings excellence!
think positive…less population…
Nice post, I agree with you. And Anwin, would your feelings be same if one of your near ones was on the train and heaven forbid ended up on the casuality list?
Hmmm…Mridula, you have a point there…but you should not read my comments and take them at face value…
